Paying for Your Mix
Before work commences on your mix, you will need to make the payment. The most popular payment mechanism is to use PayPal. Most of our clients use Paypal because payment can be processed within minutes and work can commence sooner. You can either access the paypal button off of our site by clicking here, or we can send you a Paypal payment button via e-mail. You can also send us a check or money order through regular mail. This can take up to 2 weeks to process and thus, people tend not to go this route. But, it is entirely up to you. If you wish to pay by regular mail, please send an e-mail to musicfusion@cogeco.ca and we will send you our mailing address. Please remember that payments are in U.S. dollars and work on your mix does not commence until the payment is received and processed.
What Happens Next?
Once your payment is processed and once we receive the plan for your mix, we will complete a "rough draft" of your mix. The rough draft is meant to give you a very early idea of how your mix sounds. It will also give you an opportunity to try your mix out with your routine. We try to have this to you within a week, sometimes sooner than that.
Normally, we complete the music first. Once you are happy with the music mix, we will add any special effects that you may require. It is usually best to add special effects after you've tried out your mix with your routine. That way, you will know exactly where you'd like the effects.
Please read the article referenced above for tips about planning your mix, including use of special effects.
Once the mix is complete, we provide you with a mp3 copy over the net. The mp3 copy is provided simply to give you something to work with until you receive the CD through the mail. Because mp3 is a compression format, the quality of the sound will not be as good as the final CD we will mail to you. But MP3's are widely used and still provide fairly good quality.
How many Changes Can I Make?
We want your mix to be perfect, so we do allow you to make changes. Ordinarily however, with a well-planned mix, one to three changes are expected. The only time you may face an additional fee, is if your changes are drastic and unexpected. For example, if you ask us to do a mix featuring only songs from Brittany Spears, and then change your mind and ask us to re-do the entire mix with different songs, then this change is seen as a brand new mix and would be subject to an additional charge. It is thus important that you plan your mix well and that you make good use of the form that you will need to complete.
